To achieve Qi Gong healing, you must first increase the body’s awareness. Normally, when a person first learn Qi Gong, she does not feel much anything unusual, but simply follows the motions as they were taught. This is the beginning of practice and needs to be supervised by a good Qi Gong instructor who can explain how to feel the inner body through external postures and movements. For instance, when you stand in a basic Qi Gong posture, it has to be correctly aligned. Alignment helps beginners to start to feel their individual body more easily, and they will gradually feel the deeper layers of the body through longer period of practice. Through these initial awareness practice, you will become more sensitive, more aware of your body and mind than before, and you will develop stronger sensations and quicker reactions. Qi will move through its passages (or meridian channels) more intuitively and freely than before, that allowing it to guide your actions, to help you feel yourself.
